Crystal Cove State Park Historic District
Day 2 3/15 ?9-
Bal
Through a series of exercises and Geoff’s step-by-step demonstrations, the class will practice seeing value, connecting shape, and capturing light and shadow.
Class subjects will be the coastal California scenery of Crystal Cove and Balboa Island. Even though the scenes change, Geoff will take the class through the same process of creating a strong, expressive design.
Designed for beginning students with some watercolor experience and for Intermediate watercolor students.
The goal of the workshop is to emphasize techniques and procedures for improving your plein air painting by focusing on visualization, simplification, and editing while accentuating expression, mood, and atmosphere. Even a less-than-perfect subject or scene can be improved with effective design strategies.
