All artists registered for the Back Bay show and sale must participate in one of two meetings. June 6th or July 1st. Will be on Zoom

Rules
Register by July 6, 2024
All paintings must be framed and wired for hanging. (No sawtooth hangers)
Only one artwork can be entered, frame size not to exceed 24 inches on any one side. Only paintings done in Big Canyon will be accepted. Map will be provided. Paintings must be picked up by July 19, after the artist‘s reception. All artists who enter paintings are invited to the reception.


Sales for the Quick Draw Show will be handled by the NBC with a 35% commission to the NBC. 65% sales to artist. NBC will also collect and pay sales tax and send payments to artists 4 weeks after show ends or with Zelle.

Friday, July 26 Club Member Demo with Francis DiFronzo at Irvine Park, Orange 9:30 am - 11am Demo by club member Francis DiFronzo. From the 5 fwy, take Jamboree N all the way to the end at the Park, $3 entry fee. After entering make a quick Right and go about 1 mile to the jog after parking Lot N, go Left down to Lot Q where Francis may have a canopy set up. Look for our SOCALPAPA Flags at the jog and Lot Q. Restrooms close. Francis will be demonstrating acrylic underpainting the main masses, with oil overlay, lead-up to his September 7-8 two day workshop featuring those techniques. Bring your gear and paint afterwards. Views of creekbed, sycamores, live oaks.

Saturday, July 27, 8:00 Big Bend, Laguna Coast Wilderness Park--Take 133 Fwy S into Laguna, past El Toro Rd, down to parking lot across from the Jeeps just before the big curve into Laguna Beach. $5 parking at the kiosk. Port a Potty available. Paint the trail, and iconic view of the hillside and trees.

All current Members of SOCALPAPA are invited to participate in a free to enter, non-juried show of artwork at the Hortense Miller “Aviary Garden” starting August 3 and running through August 31, 2024.

Paintings must be of the gardens or a view from the garden.

Complete your registration by emailing photos of your painting(s) to socalpapagallery@gmail.com. Registration is not complete until this step is completed. Please include the size, medium and price of the work in the email. At least one painting per artist will be accepted until the space limit of 20 paintings is reached.
