Saturday, Oct. 19, 9:00am. Salt Creek Beach, Dana Point.

Go S from Crown Valley Parkway about a mile on PCH toward Dana Point, go R into the Ritz Carlson Drive-- Salt Creek Park lot. Walk down thru the tunnel down past the Salt Creek Park to the Beach. Views South towards the Ritz Carlton cliff, or N up the beach. Restrooms by the beach.

Friday, Oct. 25, 9:00am. Newport Beach Fun Zone by the Ferry Landing.

Take 55 Fwy/Newport Ave. S across PCH onto the peninsula down Balboa Blvd., about a mile, go L on Washington to street parking on Bay Ave or the metered pay parking lot. Walk over to the Bayfront Path by the Ferry landing, and Fun Zone. Views of Harbor activity or Fun Zone itself, Restrooms nearby.

NOVEMBER

Friday, November 1, 9:00 am. Cal State Fullerton Arboretum.

Go N on the 57 Fwy. Exit Yorba Linda Blvd. Go L over the Fwy one block to Associated Rd, go L into the Parking lot by the baseball stadium. Paint throughout the park, 2 ponds, Old house, desert area, etc. Restrooms by the Nursery.

Saturday, November 15, 9:00 am. Dana Point Harbor Conservation Park, on bluff overlooking the Harbor.

Tale 5 Fwy S to the Pacific Coast offramp onto short freeway into Dana Point. Go into the town and go L on Green Lantern to the end at the Park overlooking the Harbor. Park on street and follow trails to the best view. Restrooms are down the hill on Cove Rd to the parking lot.

Friday, November 15, 9:00am. Laguna Niguel Botanical Reserve. Laguna Niguel, 29751 Crown Valley Parkway.

Take the 5 Fwy to Crown Vallery exit, go S about two miles, just past Central Park Drive, go R at next exit into the entrance. Go past the pool building on the right and park on the left by the playground and restrooms. Follow signs up the hill through the reserve to views overlooking the valley, or paint the trees along the trail.

Saturday, November 23, 9:00 am. Ted Craig Regional Park, Fullerton, 3300 State College Blvd.

Take the 57 Fwy N and exit at Imperial Hwy. Go L over the Fwy and L on State College. Go one block and go L into the entrance to the park. $5 entrance fee. Restooms throughout the park. Pond Views and hillsides with sycamores.

Friday, November 29. 8:00 am. Crystal Cove Cottages, Newport Coast.

Take PCH a couple miles N of Laguna Beach to the Los Trancos parking lot which is the parking for the Cottages. If you have a senior Golden Bear pass, leave it on your dashboard in the parking lot. $15 online parking for all others. Take the $2 shuttle down to the cottages, or walk down through the tunnel 1/4 mile. Paint the Bluffs to the South , or paint beach activity N of the Beachcomber Restaurant. Restrooms. See the Plein air gallery called the “Store” for inspiration.
