Linda Wissler was born in Los Angeles, California. She now resides in Provence, France and Laguna Beach. “The light in Provence and California are a joy for the plein air painter.” She began painting at an early age and received a teen scholarship to Art Center in Los Angeles. Her university years were spent in Colorado where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Denver School of Art. After traveling extensively in Europe and the U.S. she returned to California where she painted and taught art in the California Public Schools and at California State University Fullerton. Over the years she has found her inspiration in nature all over the world. Currently Wissler is a member of the Southern California Plein Air Association and Les Rats des Champs, based in Paris, France.
