Crystal Cove Cottages. Take PCH to Newport Coast, the parking lot is about a half mile S of Newport
Friday, May 3, 9:00 am, Crystal Cove Cottages. Take PCH to Newport Coast, the parking lot is about a half mile S of Newport Coast Drive. Look for the Los Trancos parking lot across PCH from the Cottages. $15 fee at the gate to park, and take the $2 shuttle bus over to the cottages or walk down 1/4 mile from the lot, and go under the tunnel. Restrooms. Paint S towards the bluffs or N towards the unrestored cottages under construction.
All current Members of SOCALPAPA are invited to participate in a free to enter, non-juried show of artwork at the Hortense Miller “Aviary Garden” starting June 8 and running through July 6, 2024.
Paintings must be of the gardens or a view from the garden.

Please include the size, medium and price of the work in the email. At least one painting per artist will be accepted until the space limit of 20 paintings is reached.

Friday, May 17, 8:00 am. Los Rios Street in San Juan Capistrano, by the SJC train depot. Take the 5 Fwy S to Hwy 74 Ortega Hwy offramp, go right on Del Obispo and continue around past Camino Capistrano and the tracks one block, go R on Adelanto 1/2 mile to dirt parking lot. If that one is full, keep going on Adelanto to Ramos Street parking, in gravel lot. Paint views of the depot, or cottages on the street. Restrooms by the first lot.

Saturday, May 25, 12 noon (to eliminate some May Gray morning clouds.) Santiago Oaks Regional Park, 2145 Windes Drive, in Orange. (OC Park). Take the 55 Fwy to Katella (becomes Santiago Canyon Road). Go a couple miles and go L on Windes Drive about a mile to the gate, $5 entry fee. Just past the gate wind around up to either of two parking lots. Look for Socalpapa Flags at the Orange Grove for our demonstration by award winning Mike Major, who will be presenting pastel on board. Restrooms walk past the main parking lot.
